Volta is the title of Cirque du Soleil’s big top show which is themed around extreme sports; the show story-line is about a popular game show host named Waz, who has been blinded by fortune and fame, but starts a personal quest to find again his true self by going thru his memories, after discovering a group of free spirits who encourage him during this process.

Volta is Cirque du Soleil’s 41st production since 1984, and its 18th show presented under the Big Top. Its creative team comprises 16 creators under the artistic guidance of Jean Guibert (Director of Creation) and Bastien Alexandre (Writer and Director).[7]

The Grand Chapiteau seats over 2,500 spectators per performance. The Grand Chapiteau is a temporary structure which is supported by four masts. All seats are cushioned with backs.

All bags and persons entering Cirque du Soleil premises are subject to search by designated and qualified security personnel before being allowed onto the premises. Winners of America’s Got Talent Season 7The Olate Dogs make their way to Clearwater for their Capitol Theatre debut! The Olate Dogs are a high-energy, fast-paced act filled with doggie friendly and amazing pet tricks. The all-new LIVE theatrical show include the infamous jumping rope, twirling spinning and fun-loving Olate Dogs made famous on America’s Got Talent Season 7… but there’s much more. With a doggy fashion show, a classic comedic routine by Richard Olate, music by Nicholas Olate and amazing cycling and juggling by his wife, this show is fun for kids of all ages! While on tour, they spend much of their time supporting dog rescues and animal shelters, bringing awareness to the need for families to rescue and adopt stray dogs and pets.

Tickets are $50 (includes a meet & greet), $26, & $21. Performance is at the Capitol Theatre, 405 Cleveland St, Downtown Clearwater.
