Tampa, Fla. – After a four-year hiatus, WiLD 94.1 is bringing back Last Damn Show, which is scheduled to return to Tampa Bay on Friday at the Ice Palace (Amalie Arena).
From 1992 to 2012, Last Damn Show shined brightly as the undisputed crown jewel of live hip-hop shows in the bay area. The event bounced between Tropicana Field and the Ice Palace, and featured big name, genre-spanning artists, like Lil Wayne, Drake, Eminem, Outkast, Destiny’s Child, Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz and Justin Bieber.
Similar to past years, Last Damn Show’s 2017 line up is stacked with some of the hottest names in music. Chance the Rapper is scheduled to headline this year’s event and is coming off a record-setting year following the release of his critically-acclaimed album, Coloring Book. He’ll be joined by a long list of chart-topping special guests, including Ludacris, the “Bad and Boujee” rapping trio – Migos, Lil Uzi Vert, Lecrae, 24hrs and Jesse Reyez.
WiLD 94.1 first began teasing the return of Last Damn Show in early August, when mysterious billboards began surfacing alongside various Tampa highways. The billboards flashed just a plain pale-salmon colored background with the black lettering spelling “LDS.”
With a huge buzz surrounding the return of the event and a solid lineup of performers, let’s hope this year’s show won’t be the last damn show for Last Damn Show.
